🎨✨ Mini Workshop Market | Saturday, May 10 | 12–5PM | Cactus Club ✨🎨

Ready to spark a new passion or finally try that hands-on hobby you’ve been curious about? Join us at the Mini Workshop Market—a one-of-a-kind, fast-paced creative experience where you can learn, make, and connect all in one afternoon!

Think of it as speed dating for hobbies: you’ll move from table to table, each hosted by a local artist or maker offering a bite-sized, 20-minute workshop. Whether it’s printmaking, candle pouring, stitching, or a surprise craft you’ve never seen before—there’s something for everyone to dive into.

🎟️ Workshops are just $5–$20 each, and you can take as many (or as few) as you like. Each session is followed by a 10-minute break, giving you time to show off your creation, grab a drink, and head to your next mini-class.

🎶 Good vibes, creative energy, and community all afternoon.

Vendors and Workshops

  1. The Workbench – DIY Self Watering Seed Starters – In this workshop we will be making a small planter that fits right into a mason jar. Once it is finished, put it on a windowsill and make sure there is always some water in the jar ~ then, watch your seeds grow! It’s the perfect way to start your garden from seed when you may not have time (or energy) to keep up with watering. No gardening experience required.
  2. Designs by Deme – Intro to Crochet – Learn the basic stitches of crochet and start creating a mini crochet wall decor piece with Designs by Deme! This workshop is meant to be taken home with you, so don’t be stressed about finishing it in our 20 minute time frame.
  3. Red Fawn Studios – Intro to Collage Work – In this short collage workshop, we will explore the history and basic elements of collage, as well as examine how this abstract art form can serve as an act of resistance in our daily lives. Each participant will have an opportunity to create a small mixed-media collage to take home. All supplies will be provided; participants are also welcome to bring their own materials if they have a specific project in mind.
  4. Bailey Danz – Mini Block Printing – Take a crash course to learn the basics of linocut printmaking! In this 20 minute workshop you’ll get a taste of carving a block, inking it up, and making your first print!
  5. Midwest Mindful – Intro to Niyamas Yoga – This mini workshop will introduce intention-setting for your yoga practice and beyond by using the Niyamas as a framework to dig deeper and discover what motivates you – whether that’s a higher power, a greater good, or something else. We will use the first 8-10 minutes for a crash-course in the Niyamas, and then put it to use in a light, 10-minute yoga practice suitable for all levels.
  6. La Gente – Sh**ty Art (Day) – In this shorter version of one of La Gente Art’s favorite workshop, Shi**ty Art, you will learn about how having space to make the crappiest art with community can be a self-care practice and free you to not have a care in the world for a few minutes! La Gente Art will have lots of art supplies for you to use but feel free to bring your own if you’d like.
  7. Other Dust – DIY Hag Torch – Learn the basics of making an herbal candle, often referred to as a Hag Torch in folk practice. We’ll be working with mullein stalks and beeswax to encapsulate the warmth of the sun to carry with us when the dark of winter begins to roll around again.
  8. Scintillating SoulDIY Tea Sachet – In this short herbal tea blend workshop, you will learn about a variety of herbs, creating blends, and how to brew your own tea blend when you get home! Each participant will have an opportunity to create their own herbal tea blend to take home.
